Marine Duty Motor

Reuland Electric has the ability to modify any of its motors, brakes, and gearboxes to successfully adapt to any number of environments. Two of the most difficult environments to protect against are salt or water spray and air borne dust. Our Marine duty and/or taconite protection modifications can handle such environments.

Our Marine duty modifications satisfy all the following specifications: IEEE Marine Standards No. 45, Mil standards (Navy A Service, per Mil-M-17060E, Mil-S-901 and Mil-E-917), American Bureau of Shipping (A.B.S.), or the U.S. Coast Guard Inspection Service. Reuland meets these stringent requirements by providing 12 different modifications to the motor. For taconite-laden environments, Reuland provides a completely sealed motor to prevent entry of dust inside the motor.
